Margaret asks, “ I was wondering if there is a benefit to combining Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology?”
The answer is a big YES!
It is natural for us to surround ourselves with things we like or belong to us in our home or office, even when we are renting.
Many of us know how to do that well from the physical level in order to make the space feel personal. Why not do the same with energy?
Getting More Specific
When we combine Feng Shui with Chinese Astrology we establish an energetic connection to our home or office environment, making sure the Qi flows for our benefit so our environment can serve our goals. This kind of Feng Shui is more specific.
Classical Feng Shui and Chinese Astrology are related, they are like siblings. Therefore, to practice these 2 together only adds more dimension and depth to a person’s life.
Misconceptions
There is a lot of misconception about Feng Shui. There are publications that use Feng Shui with Western astrology. In my opinion, this combination is not effective. These 2 originate from different sources, therefore fundamentals are not solid enough for the other to build on. The benefit and effect of this practice is limited to “feel good.”
Chinese Astrology is the Key
Energy is everywhere but learning how to access it is the key. The key lies in a person’s natal chart. That is where Chinese Astrology comes in.
With this information, if a person is battling an illness, we can recommend them using their health direction. If a person works from home, then we can tap into their success direction. If a person relies on good relationships or needs to improve upon them, then we can tap into their relationship direction.
These are some of the things that can be done to tap into the energies of the space to strengthen you. After all having a home that supports your health & vitality should be the first thing in our “needs” priority.
So to answer Margaret’s question,
Chinese astrology is just as important to Feng Shui because it puts the “self” as part of the equation.
From the overall perspective, Feng Shui can also be used before you move in to a home. Having good features outside ensures that you will not be at the mercy of negative influences. And this is something that cannot be changed because the environment is out of our control. Location, Flow of energy and Direction are priorities we consider.
