Equinox & Solstices

Our question this week comes from Mary.

“ Does Chinese Astrology view the equinox and/or solstices in any particular way?”

We observe an equinox every spring and fall, while the solstice arrives in December and in June. This is a timely question, because we are approaching the Autumnal Equinox here in the Northern Hemisphere next week. The Southern Hemisphere will welcome Spring.

Every Equinox and Solstice brings seasonal and energetic change. The Chinese calendar

sees the beginning of the Equinox and Solstice as a weak day. The day prior to the Equinox and Solstice is also considered weak. They are called “Separating Day” or “Departure Day.”

The energy, or CHI, of the day is at its lowest point of the season and is considered stale. Mother Earth is birthing a new season.

In Chinese date selection, we avoid using those 2 days to do anything important because the energies of the stars lack vitality. This means that if you schedule an important event on those days, results can be poor or weak, at best.

You will get exponential results and gain support by scheduling an important event on a better day?

“When Heavenly energies are not present everything is stagnant”

Follow our weekly ENERGY POTENTIAL. It is posted every Sunday on Facebook and Instagram with information on the 7 days of the week to help you plan your activities.
